Guatemala, located south of Mexico, boasts a captivating culture and stunning landscapes. From its majestic mountains to pristine beaches and picturesque lakes, Guatemala offers an abundance of breathtaking scenery. During my visit, I had the pleasure of spending a few days in its capital, Guatemala City, and embarked on a day trip to the nearby historic district of Antigua, which was once the country’s capital. The quaint town mesmerized me with its well-preserved ancient buildings and rich history. Despite my limited time, I couldn’t help but yearn for more as Guatemala has so much to offer, including magnificent beaches, towering mountains, serene lakes, and fascinating Mayan ruins. Expanding my exploration beyond the city and visiting Antigua was undoubtedly a wise decision, igniting a desire to return and delve deeper into Guatemala’s wonders.
